Hong Kong's Medical Device Administrative Control System is a voluntary listing and post-market monitoring framework for relevant medical devices. Where a device is presented as a medical device or has a medical intended use, buyers should check the public database and match the exact model and local responsible person. Listing information does not remove the need to verify operator scope, intended use and advertising compliance.
Documents to request from suppliers
Manufacturer, brand, exact model, serial number and market version.
User manual, IFU, warnings, contraindications and cleaning or disinfection instructions.
Warranty, service SLA, parts source, consumables pricing, batch traceability and maintenance records.
Training records, treatment SOPs, consultation forms and adverse-event escalation flow.
Supplier questions
Ask whether the document set matches the same model being sold in Hong Kong, how consumables are traced, who handles technical support, what happens during downtime, and which marketing claims are supported by verifiable evidence.
